Strange and sad
Former TV comedian Tony Rosato goes to trial for criminal harassment as a result of his behavior after he became convinced that his wife and daughter had been replaced by exact duplicates. I'm not entirely clear on why it took two years to get to this point, especially since it sounds as if he should actually be in a mental institution (though Rosato's own behavior apparently had a lot to do with it--he kept firing his lawyers). But, then, as a citizen of the United States I can't exactly throw stones when it comes to the way the criminal justice system works in Canada.
I was never a big fan of Rosato's work on SCTV and Saturday Night Live, but he was a central player in one of the funniest and meanest SCTV sketches ever, "SCTV's Thursday Night Live". It was a brief and vicious attack on the competition--and then, not long after, Rosato and Robin Duke, who had also been featured in that sketch, actually went to SNL.
