That's exactly

the twistedly sexist theory that I heard quoted back in high school at the Hartt summer music program, actually: that women would never succeed in creative fields because their creative drive was hardwired into babymaking, while men were forced by their anatomical inadequacy into artistic and intellectual creative pursuits--sort of the blind man's enhanced other senses argument.
