I haven't read any of the Tiffany Aching books yet, so hadn't noticed any similarity. Pratchett does tend to repeat himself sometimes; I thought of
Carpe Jugulum
as a somewhat improved rehash of
Lords and Ladies
.
Hogfather
is very good.
