Wow, I'd forgotten how much cool scenery I'd downloaded for X-Plane 11, much of which now runs at the maximum frame rate on my bigger monitor setup, so it's more fun. I had really good-looking freeware Boston and New York scenery sets, and some other places like Venice.
I need to set up a game controller on this machine--haven't tried that yet.
The one that still slows my computer down noticeably is the insanely detailed "Japan Pro", a set that covers basically all of Japan. I suspect it's troublesome because it replaced the auto-generation buildings with more Japanese-looking ones and *they* might just be too complex.
