Great moments in journalism

The Mars rover pictures give a Washington Post writer the occasion to wax philosophical about what their nature and existence says about life in 2004, even though color and stereoscopic pictures from the surface of Mars arrived on Earth in pretty much the identical manner in 1976 (a fact that he does not even mention). Now that's writing!
