Presidential race predictions
1. I predict a bumper market in predictions.
2. Many of the predictions will be wrong.
3. When the eventual Democratic nominee becomes clear, some supporters of all of his opponents will come forth with plausible-sounding arguments that their guy was the only electable one, which then degenerate into depressive ranting.
4. The Democrat wins.
I'm pretty confident about all of these except for #4. Thought I'd stick my neck out on that one.

I think Dean's supporters will supply the grade A ranting, and Lieberman the grade A depression. I actually have been impressed by the content of Lieberman's sound bites, but he sounds like someone who woke up on the wrong side of the bed for the last ten years. He needs a hug and a juice box.
Tangent: One of Wodehouse's minor characters is described as having an air "as though she had heard some bad news around 1900, and never really recovered". A dated joke (literally), but funny.
