My drawing of me
A while back
glitter_ninja asked where the drawing of me came from. I drew it myself a few years ago.
It was something of an experiment. From childhood through college, I drew a lot of autobiographical cartoons, and I developed a sort of conventionalized self-portrait, but it was of a youthful-looking fellow with no beard and a huge mop of blond hair. The picture that was originally on my Web site's biography page (which I really need to update again) was a less cartoony version of that, one that made unrealistically few concessions to encroaching male pattern baldness:

After a while it just became silly to keep using that one, since I didn't look anything like that any more, so in 2000 I decided to try to update my cartoon face:

People generally don't seem to think that my drawings of people resemble them at all, so I've never been clear on whether my self-portrait actually looks like me. It's a moderately flattering picture, though.
I also made the drawing of
samantha2074 that she sometimes uses as an avatar, though it depicts a hairstyle she hasn't had for years:

There are a couple of other portraits of her on my page about Sam, but they weren't quite as successful with the only critic that matters. And after that I got interested in photography and didn't draw people as much. I need to try drawing her again.

Of course, he draws crazed death porn, so YMMV.
