The best reporting I know from the daily JPL press briefings is on Adot's Notblog; he says his synopses are not direct transcripts, but they're pretty close, without the distortion and extreme truncation of most press reports. With luck the rover should roll off the lander a few hours from now.

Update: What he said about Bush's big space speech is right too. Having seen the announcement, it's hard for me to get too angry about it on policy grounds, because my impression is that it's 99% vapor. Not funded, not gonna happen, at least not as described.
