MacEdition, R.I.P.
Mar. 30th, 2004 10:25 pmMacEdition seems to have quietly died. It's a pity. Back in the day, CodeBitch's column there had some of the best writing ever done about standards-based Web development, often with application far beyond the Macintosh world—she was one of the few people who really consistently got it, even when other knowledgeable authorities on the subject had massive brain farts. Also, I filled in for her once with a column about font rendering in Mac OS X, and was greatly impressed by the skills of editor Porukka. Maybe I ought to dredge up my copy of that article sometime and resurrect it, if I'm allowed to, though I suppose I'd have to bring it up to date.
Update, March 31: It's back now, though, as has been the case for some time, the new content consists solely of press releases in the "Breakers" section. The wisdom of CodeBitch remain online, as does my long-outdated article (the general principles of it are still valid).
