Today on NPR I was reminded that Noah Webster tried and failed to establish "tung" as the standard American spelling of "tongue". In commemoration, here is a picture with a tongue in it:



I am discovering that a little fill flash can do wonders with backlit cats sitting on window perches.

If you look closely you can still see the shaved patch where she got the drugs for her dental surgery. Now that we're done feeding her antibiotics every day, she seems to have gradually come to trust us again.
