ROSES 14-OODZ
Jan. 19th, 2008 10:53 pmThe ROSES 14-OODZ van (sometimes other numbers of OODZ) has baffled newcomers to Cambridge and Somerville for many years through the power of poor sign lettering.
Fans of the Doctor Who story "The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit" have made the obvious joke.
I have heard that this van is visible in Google Street View, but it's not parked by that Foodmaster any more and at the moment I've forgotten exactly where it moved to. It's not far from there.
Correction: It is there at the Foodmaster! The key is to look from the direction of Broadway, not from Alewife Brook Parkway. The pictures must have been taken at different times, some when the van wasn't open for business.
