350 years ago tomorrow, Christiaan Huygens discovered Titan. For almost all of that time, it's been an orange dot orbiting Saturn; for the past several years it was a hazy ball with mysterious infrared splotches; now there are pictures from beneath the haze and the beginnings of a passable world map. Over the next week, the area around the big H should become clearer.

By the way, here is a page on the correct Dutch pronunciation of "Huygens" (with sound clips), which I don't think I can even adequately describe.
