Hiding things

mmcirvinAha: I have been given to understand that you actually can hide all the controls and sidebars in Google Earth, with the stuff in the Tools menu (and their keyboard shortcuts). Unfortunately, you can't show the search field without showing the rest of the sidebar as well.
(I guess it's for the best: at 1600x1200 my wimpy olde-tyme video card is being pushed pretty hard, and Google Earthing at full screen will push it into the regime where it gets intermittent spasms of gray rectangles. It sure is pretty the rest of the time, though.)
