Well, the Best Novel and Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form awards went to the choices I'd have picked. I'm ashamed to say I haven't read any of the shorter-fiction winners this year.

I presume the process of spinning down the nominations and threading together the selections must be a specialized task. I can't imagine everyone being Hugo weaving.

Yes, that's how I "read" the shorts. I am satisfied with the winner. (In fact I would have been kind of pissed off if either the treacly barely-SF story or the "Down with copyright! Hey Cory Doctorow look at meeeeee!" story had won instead.)
