Lies are good for you
Sep. 1st, 2003 11:19 pmA while back I read about some study saying that pessimists generally had a more accurate view of the world and of themselves than optimists. It was pretty remarkable, if true; apparently they managed to prove objectively that everything is, on the whole, bad and is only going to get worse.
Now here's another one of those claims that positive thinking is good for you. In combination with the other result it becomes clear that perceiving the truth is essentially dangerous, since an accurate assessment of reality can only result in negative thinking.
It can only be concluded that we must watch as much TV as possible.
