We've started introducing Jorie to solid food, beginning with mashed bananas. Her first time, she seemed to like the bananas, but she's been more apprehensive since then. The key may be to let her handle the spoon herself—of course we watch her closely.

She's also started teething; her first tooth is an incisor that is just barely poking through her lower gum. It's made her crankier than usual, though cold teething toys sometimes help.
