The story did seem to spark a lot of "I knew cell phones were killing us because I hate them" chatter.
Cellphones are killing bees, though not because of any mumbo-jumbo about signals interfering with bees and our need to equip them with teeny tiny little tin-foil hats. No, it's because of those jerks who speak on their cellphones while driving, distracting them and causing them to not pay attention to THOSE BEES THAT THEY ARE DRIVING INTO! OHMYGOD! THEY DROVE THROUGH THE HIVE! PROTECT THE QUEEN! PROTECT THE QUEEN!
