LGR's review of the new MSFS also reminded me (by mentioning it) that if you install the (free) standalone app version of Google Earth, it's actually got a little flight-sim mode that's been there for a long time. Compared to even 1980s versions of Flight Simulator, let alone the modern one, it's just a toy--there's very little detail of the actual airplane you're supposedly flying. But it is nice to be able to fly around Google Earth's landscape database for free.
