Gladiator is a remarkably slow and padded movie for something supposedly about a gladiator. I found it hard to pay attention to.
That's one of those movies that everyone has told me I'm supposed to see, but both times I've tried to watch it, I've fallen asleep. That doesn't mean I think it's a bad movie---I've fallen asleep during many a film---but what I did see certainly wasn't as engaging and exciting as everyone made it out to be.
