mmcirvinI'm partial to Celestia as a means of touring the universe. But it's not primarily intended as a planetarium-type sky simulator, though it can be used as one. For that purpose, I'm already greatly impressed by Stellarium, another free program that seems to be the work of one guy. It's really slick and runs on many platforms.
