I was recalling the other day how not so long ago I was hearing frequent talk about how Al Gore's endorsement of Dean demonstrated a big new faultline in the Democratic faithful, between the old Clinton supporters (who now supported Clark) and the new Gore supporters (who now supported Dean) -- a power struggle which only one group could win! Did I dream this, or did this actually happen?
