When I was working on the psychophanotoscope I said that we'd developed a true physics of consciousness. We could tell a mind from a simulation of a mind, however perfect. Of course, it was also a spook's dream. A side effect.
Eleven percent of the population couldn't be scoped. What to do? Redefine terms! You don't have rights if you're not conscious!
