Following up on the previous discussion of past US presidents, here's Teddy Roosevelt's "Bull Moose" speech, which he delivered in Milwaukee right after he had been shot in the chest during his unsuccessful Progressive Party run for president in 1912 (his prepared speech apparently slowed the bullet enough to save him). Probably one of the greatest moments of extemporaneous political theater in American history.

that man was the closest thing to perfection this nation has ever been lucky enough to have lead us.

can we resurrect him and elect him again?

Foreign-policy-wise, I'm not so sure. In the domestic sphere, he's definitely underrated today. And he was probably the most entertaining president of all time.

him or jackson.

i'm not that educated about him, to be honest, but every time i hear another thing about the man, i just love him more and more. but, as things are, i'm probably just hearing all the cool stuff.

went to the bookstore today to try to find a biography on him, but to no avail.
