If you really want to take an online personality test, this one is pretty thorough and interesting, with categories that make more sense than the Myers-Briggs to me. I get the impression that the guy who put it up is really, really tired of people asking him technical questions about why their browsers are broken.

Of course, the level of detail in this thing's report makes it even clearer than usual that you probably could have figured out your scores yourself without having to take a test. And some of the questions seem to be taking the respondent's value self-judgments a bit too seriously. I took the short quiz and graded myself harshly on questions relating to orderliness and neatness, with the result that my Conscientiousness subcategory scores were all near minimum, and I know for a fact that people get a lot worse than me (and I do better in structured professional situations than in my personal life). It's actually grading you on how conscientious you think you are in relation to where you think you should be. Also, I really wonder whether psychological liberalism/conservatism is as aligned with political labels as the questions imply.

Added later: Of course, this is the problem with all personality tests that essentially ask you whether certain descriptions of your personality apply or not: they're asking you how you think of your own personality type. It might be better to ask more concrete questions that reveal personality traits more indirectly. E.g. not whether you think you generally leave messes around, but whether you'd tolerate messy room A, B, or C.

Holy cow, my Neuroticism was through the roof.

Muppet News Flash: No one is surprised.

Yeah, it essentially said I was an extremely Neurotic, un-Conscientious, Introverted wretch, though also extremely Agreeable and Intellectually Curious, or whatever the category was called.

The Neurotic/un-Conscientious/Agreeable combination is tailor-made to produce guilt in industrial quantities.
