Here's another interesting bit of futurism from Clay Shirky in which he frets about the use of DNA markers as a universal database identifier, leading to inevitable loss of privacy as all the world's databases of personal information become interoperable.

Of course, this won't work for identical twins. Or clones.

The solution, then, is obvious: Only through the cloning of humans on a massive scale can privacy and freedom be saved. Genetically identical individuals are free individuals! Mandate cloning now!
