Weird LiveJournal bug

The post "Weird Mac OS X bugs" intermittently gets sorted above subsequent posts in a "most recent posts" view. Refreshing generally fixes the problem. I don't know what's up with that.

Okay, okay, it'll work this way.

I'm aware that my proposal for mandatory universal cloning has just a few problems. A population containing many clones would have reduced genetic diversity, which would make it vulnerable to all the problems of inbreeding if people had any children in the normal manner, and also vulnerable to epidemics that would otherwise meet firebreaks in the form of immune-system differences.

These are simply engineering problems. Obviously a world of clones is not enough; they should all be eunuchs. Cloned eunuchs! Cloned eunuchs in plastic bubbles! Since eunuchs all have supernatural kung fu powers, as explained in the documentary Heroic Trio, the plastic bubbles should present little hindrance in our utopian future world of cloned bubble kung fu eunuchs.

I should think the benefits of this would be obvious to all.

You're thinking, "Matt, your proposal for mandatory cloning of kung fu bubble eunuchs is almost perfect, but there is still one tiny flaw that threatens to bring down the whole scheme. How exactly, ensconced in their plastic bubbles, will the supernatural kung fu eunuch clones get Internet access?"

You see, this is exactly why wi-fi is such a world-changing technology.
