It makes your Web page a trillion times better if it plays annoying sound files every time somebody visits it.

Thanks! My web page was already improved 1000% by previous suggestions along these lines, so I'll have to give this a whirl when I get a chance.

My webpage cannot be updated as the host, internettrash.com has decided that being broken is a preferable state of existence. Also, I suck

Steal this idea, please.

I read this and pictured your Mac making its little quack sound every time someone passes through your Push-Button World of Tomorrow, which would be interesting, but would soon get old, and so I couldn't at all see how that's a trillion times better than, say, a hit-counter or a site-visits stats package.

Proxomitron 4.5 has a filter that lets you turn sounds like that into a link at the top of the page, so you can hear it only if you want to.

Also, you should use an animated GIF as the background that cycles between several different busy, brightly-colored, high-contrast patterns, and the entire page should be filled with rambling multicolored text that is of similar brightness to the GIF.

I have found, in practice, that pages like the above almost always have something to do with advocating pot legalization.
