Hmm, the installer requires you to log in with administrator privileges to run (it won't just let you authenticate). I'd accept that with just a little grumbling, since as paracelsvs has pointed out, the reflexive typing in of administrator passwords to install things can be destructive over time; but then after you log in it also requires the holder of the administrator account to authenticate again when running the installer! I suspect the author of the installer had the idea of getting administrator authorization at install time but was slightly unclear on the concept.
I like the revised navigation compass; it's much less stupid.
They upped the system recommendations. If you find that it is kicking the ass of your sad little video card, before you shrink the detail area down to a tiny peephole, try setting terrain colors to 16 bits in the preferences. It's not as if the color fidelity in Google Earth terrain is all that great anyway.
