"Closeup, annoyed" is a pretty fun pic for a lj avatar or some such. But great light in this one.

Any photos with Uncle Kibo?

Is Jorie the first grandchild on either side?

(And for jorie, the traditional Swedish Meatball King Welcome, Welcome speech: "Welcome! Welcome!")

Jorie's the second on both sides, though for the Wilkinsons she's the first one to live in the Boston area and the first one to be around from birth, so Diane's getting to use her newborn-care experience on a grandchild for the first time.

She's a cutie! Not as cute as my two nieces, certainly, but a close third! Only lately have I manifested the power to see the features of the parents in the kids, so I can see you in her face, really! Damn cool. (It's still novel to me, can you tell?)

The other thing that's fairly new to me, since I'm only 30, is seeing newborn babies that belong to people who I consider my peers, so again, Marjorie is damn cool for a second reason.

So happy for you! Keep the pix coming!

My niece Greta was universally said at birth to resemble me. And Jorie looks sort of like a larger Greta with more hair.

Personally, I think newborn Greta and newborn Jorie both really look like my late grandfather Lloyd Fredmund. But that might just be because of the universal visual similarity between old men and babies.

That look on your face looks suspiciously like paternal pride and the spit up on your shoulder is a major hoot. Very nice accessorizing skills!

That's nothing; I'm currently wearing the baby, scrunched up fetally in a NoJo sling. She's gotten into a position that looks to me like it can't possibly be comfortable, but the manual says they'll do that.
