mmcirvinI just discovered that Niobe became a lolcat in 2007. (Seen via How To Kill Your Imaginary Friends.)

The lolcat is perfect; Niobe really is always fraught with skepticism, and looks it. I found one page that speculated that the odd color scheme of the picture contributed to the mood. That was an artifact of the old Nikon Coolpix 2500 I was using, which lost so much information in the blue channel under incandescent light that you couldn't correct it without introducing a lot of noise. That armchair was actually maroon.
