That thing has a lot of jets coming out of it.

It's hard to look at the lighting on the jets without hearing the Official Sting of Heaven, as featured when Monty Python find the grail and in almost every other movie where someone happens upon a source of pure white holy light, though in some cases the singing angels are partly hybridized with yellowjackets, most especially in 2001.

When the images of the Tempel 1 impact (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Deep_Impact_HRI.jpeg) first appeared, I remember reading about a TV reporter who kept asking a mission scientist to explain the "tunnel". I don't think the scientist could even figure out what the reporter was talking about.
