Pictures from the shuttle Endeavour's last visit to the International Space Station.

Check out the pretty nighttime ones. I believe that's Dextre, aka the Canada Hand, hauling something big and square out of the cargo bay (I initially thought it was the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer but it's not).

I had my little schedule for the times the ISS and Shuttle would be in the sky in my location all written out, and then it was either cloudy or full on storming every day. Won't be high enough to see above the tree line again until the 12th, of course without Endeavour.

Is the Canada Hand the same as the Canadarm?

Ah, no, it's an attachment to the Canadarm 2 that is on the Space Station. Little Wikipedia goes a long way.

My favorite thing about Canadarm 2 is that, in place of a permanent elbow, it has attachment points on both ends and can walk end-over-end to wherever it is needed (with or without the Dextre robot attached at one end, I believe).

...in place of a permanent shoulder, I mean.
