Real cool, daddy-o

I never seem to get tired of listening to the third movement of David Amram's "Triple Concerto". Not for long, at least. It's thunderous symphonic jazz with Middle Eastern themes and an incredible weird tonguing thing in the Pakistani flute solo. When
samantha2074 was at Dartmouth the wind ensemble she was in apparently played it once with Amram playing the solo.
The other two movements are good too, but Amram seems to get a lot of mileage out of performances of the third one alone; it's that mind-boggling.
