By the way, yes, I'm aware that the markup on these prefab LiveJournal styles is atrocious and retrograde. I think that paid account holders can reengineer it-- I'd like to see if I can do a good CSS layout someday. My fondness for good markup is one of the reasons I was reluctant to start a blog with standard tools. At least this markup works in a fairly cross-platform way with various browsers, but these tables are just not right.

Come to think of it, I don't suppose there would be any way to host a separate stylesheet, so it would have to be embedded. Well, if I get really dissatisfied I'll go to Movable Type or something. Meanwhile my old static site can always be the paragon of lovely structural markup.
