Just wanted to check to see what the oath of office for the Governor of Massachusetts was. Here it is:

"I, [A. B.], do solemnly swear, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and will support the constitution thereof. So help me God."

I don't see anything there about except when it's inconvenient, but perhaps I need new glasses.

New rule: pending constitutional amendments apply until unratified, provided that the legislature calls dibs.
