But if they stop bugging you, they lose the last lingering hope that you might actually give them money for nothing! Try to look at it from their perspective for once!

My phone company has been calling me up and putting me on hold recently.

We'd already seemingly cleared up the problem and gotten apologies all around, then the phantom policy appeared out of the void again after a few months.

This kind of behavior is, in fact, the reason why we switched to the people down the street who we can go and bother personally in case of bureaucratic malfunction. They're trying to help us resolve the situation.
