[livejournal.com profile] samantha2074 at least semi-seriously proposed going to the midnight premiere of Return of the King. I vetoed the idea and now feel like a weenie spoilsport, all the more so because she was pretty much sure I'd react that way.

But I think a three-and-a-half-hour movie beginning in the middle of the night, in my current condition and on a Tuesday night, would probably destroy my mind for the rest of the week, which is not something I need right now. It's been a couple of years; I can wait a little while longer to get to Mount Doom.

[Matt, I presume you're the one who screens anonymous comments...]

It was a good film; we actually got to see it one evening early courtesy of Time-Warner. I found this page via your main Web site while trying to see if your email address had changed. It hadn't, but I haven't gotten responses to the last couple of notes I've sent you. Am I a victim of an overzealous spam filter?

Maybe; I tried to e-mail you back yesterday.

(To answer your question, we're spending Christmas in Massachusetts this year; it's odd-numbered. Planning on coming to Boston any time soon?)

Whoops, I now see that my message went out about 20 minutes after you posted that...

You're dead to me. I would have given my left arm, my right ear, and at least two lobes of my liver to go to the midnight premiere of Return of the King...I quiver with joy everytime I see the preview. But instead, I have to wait. And honestly wait this time...not like when I tell you guys that I haven't seen a movie yet, but I actually have. Damn you, Matt.
